2019-2020 Ritchie-Jennings Memorial Scholarship Program

The 2019-2020  Ritchie-Jennings Memorial Scholarship Program is now open.  Each year The Association of Certified Fraud Examiners Foundation awards over 20 of these scholarships and many of our undergraduate and graduate students have an excellent chance of receiving the scholarship.  Please encourage your students to apply.  I think it helps pulling your superstars aside individually to encourage them and also gives you a chance to complement them for their successes in your class.

In the most recent US News and World Report reputational survey of graduate programs, we have moved up to the 15th percentile, into the list of the top 50 of the 282 MPA programs as ranked by NASPAA and APPAM member schools.   We are in the highest ranking percentile of any John Jay graduate program ranked by US News and World Report.  As further indication of our national recognition, in 2014, the MPA Program in Public Policy and Administration won the NASPAA Diversity Award.  In the same year, the MPA Program in Inspection and Oversight won the NASPAA Social Equity award.

Everything you need to know for Commencement 2013

Graduation is on Tuesday, May 28, 2013 at 10:30am and 3:30PM. In order to walk in the commencement ceremony, you must apply for graduation through JayStop by March 8, 2013. Commencement will be held at Jacob Javits Center North. Students are entitled to only three guest tickets. If guests require special accommodations, you must contact the Office of Accessibility at least two months before commencement. If you have completed the majority of your credits by the end of the spring semester but you need to take additional courses in the summer, you cannot walk in the May 2013 commencement.

Additional info about ordering cap and gowns, purchasing class rings, senior week activities, submitting photos to the yearbook, and the ceremonies for each major is provided below.

If you have any further questions regarding Commencement, you can attend the town hall meetings, sponsored by the Office of Transition Programs, on February 20, 2013 at 1:30pm in room L.61 and 6:00pm in 630T.
