Leon B. Abbas, Lecturer

Leon B. Abbas is a seasoned, resourceful, and accomplished Government Auditor with more then 10 years of diverse experience in planning, conducting, and supervising financial audits and investigations in both the public and private sectors. Mr. Abbas received a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice and attained a Master of Public Administration degree concentrating on Inspection and Oversight while Specializing in detecting and deterring fraud, Waste, Abuse and Corruption from John Jay College. Mr. Abbas is an Associate Member of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners, Associate Member of the Association of Inspectors General, Member of the Certified Anti Money Laundering Specialists, and Member in great standing for the Association of Local Government Auditors where Mr. Abbas is a Committee Board Member for the Committee on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion where his mission is to ensure diversity and equity in the government auditing function both within the Association and nationwide. Mr. Abbas instructs courses in Public Administration specializing in fraud prevention and detection, auditing, investigative techniques, and policy planning and analysis.
